Growing Healthy Habits Community Gardens is an essential solution for our ongoing food insecurity and Food Banks during the current food desert here in North Little Rock and surrounding areas.
The Dottie Moe Community Garden located at 1721 East 2nd Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. This project will transform unoccupied family lot into a thriving green space environment where community members can grow their own food, participate in educational workshops, and come together to create healthier food options, during our city and state crippling food desert.
Our goal is to provide access to fresh produce for families in the area, particularly those facing food insecurity, while also offering a space for community connection and learning. We are confident that this project will not only beautify the neighborhood but also empower local residents to take charge of their food sources and sustainable resources.
